Baku CSR Conference - is a unique space to learn from local and foreign practices on sustainable development and corporate social responsibility bringing together leading companies, state and non-state actors of Azerbaijan. The event aims to hold a comprehensive evaluation of the current situation in the country as well as to upgrade dialogue and cooperation among state, private and non-state actors to develop the area.

Purpose of the event:

• Review of stakeholders’ approaches to Sustainable Development / Corporate Social Responsibility (SD/CSR) as a business model and analysis of the current trends in Azerbaijan;
• Expansion of the dialogue between government institutions, the private sector and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) on SD/CSR in Azerbaijan;
• Learning from local and international practices on corporate social responsibility and the experience of international institutions operating in this field;
• Creation of prerequisites for the more effective participation and promotion of private companies in social projects through incorporating the CSR Strategy into their business models;
• Emphasizing the importance of strengthening cooperation in the area of sustainable development between the public and private sectors;
• Exploration of existing opportunities to support the instigation of policy and strategy in the area of sustainable professional development / corporate social responsibility in public and private companies within the framework of the accepted standards;
• Bringing up prevailing social projects and discussion over significance of cooperation between public and private sectors in this area; and
• Development and promotion of the understanding of corporate social responsibility in the society.
