Norwegian Humanitarian Enterprise

Norwegian Humanitarian Enterprise (NHE) is an international NGO working in Azerbaijan. Our vision is to be a values-driven organization working through partnerships to empower people. NHE has been engaged in aid and relief work, restoration and development work in Azerbaijan since 1996. Our contribution totals a 12 million USD to different relief and development projects to date. Today NHE is heavily involved in development work, focusing on capacity building, job creation and economic development.Partnerships: We seek to work mainly through local partners and we cooperate with qualified Azerbaijani entities and local NGOs for project implementation.

Target groups of Norwegian Humanitarian Enterprise

We seek to work mainly through local partners and we cooperate with qualified Azerbaijani entities and local NGOs for project implementation. Target groups: Our organizational heart is with vulnerable groups in society. Most of our projects are focused on low-income families, indigenous people/minority groups, internally displaced people and disadvantaged children and youth, including children and youth with disabilities at homes and institutions.

NHE highly values and continues to develop our established network in the Azerbaijani society. We seek to work in cooperation with local and national authorities and to recruit Azerbaijani personell in key positions. Training and capacity building are core components in all our work. We offer regular trainings for our own staff, ranging from specialist trainings to general project planning tools. We also support our local partners in their efforts to train either their staff working with beneficiaries or providing direct trainings for target groups.
