State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan

The Committee was founded on the decree on creation of State Committee on Affairs with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad, signed by President Heydar Aliyev, on July 5, 2002. On November 19, 2008 , State Committee on Affairs with Diaspora was founded on the basis of State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad on the decree No. 54 signed by Prezident Ilham Aliyev.The committee is headed by its Chairman. The committee cooperates with other central and local executive and municipal bodies, diplomatic representations of the Azerbaijan Republic in other countries, NGOs working with Azerbaijanis living abroad.
