About Sheki Administrative-Economical Court

Sheki Administrative-Economical Court hears, within relevant territorial jurisdiction, economic cases arising between legal entities regardless of their management or other affiliation and subordination, and individuals who are engaged in an entrepreneurship activity without establishing a legal person and those who obtain the status of a private entrepreneur as determined by the law, and administrative disputes which arise between persons regardless of their legal status.

Establishment of Sheki Administrative-Economical Court

Date of establishment: August of 2007 (previous name – Sheki Local Economic Court).Sheki is located in the north west of Azerbaijan, in the southern foot of the Higher Caucasus Mountains and 632 meters above sea level.The total number of refugees and internally displaced persons settled in the district is 1712 families - 6868 persons. Bordering administrative territorial units: Oghuz district, Gakh district, Yevlakh district and Mingachevir city.The territorial jurisdiction of Sheki Administrative-Economical Court:

1. Aghdash district; 
2. Balakan district;
3. Goychay district; 
4. Ismailly district; 
5. Gakh district;
6. Gabala district;
7. Mingachevir city;
8. Oghuz district;
9. Sheki district;
10. Yevlakh district;
11. Zaqatala district.

Judges of Sheki Administrative-Economical Courtand the equality of their status

Judges are persons with authorities as determined by law to make fair judgments.All judges of the Republic of Azerbaijan (president, deputy president, president of boards and judges) will have the same status, rights and responsibilities in hearing a case and be different from one another due to the procedure of appointment, power and term in office. With the exception of the decisions made in a Plenary Session of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, every judge (except a judge who provides a specific opinion or votes against such a decision during the adoption of the decision) who took part in the adoption of all other collegial court decisions will be equally responsible.
