Main Transportation Police Department

Main Transportation Police Department is a separate structural part combating against criminal offences and other violations at the railroad, air and water transportation facilities, as well as environmental crimes in the basin of the Caspian Sea, national network of rivers, lakes and other aquatic resources, protecting public order and security and implementing operational-seeking activity specified in the legislation. Guarding of all railways in the country was invested on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Government Decree dated on June 25, 1918 in Azerbaijan People's Republic (Azerbaijan Democratic Republic) and with this purpose the police bodies were established in transportation.
