The German Chambers of Commerce, the AHKs, offer their experience, connections and services to the German and foreign companies worldwide. The AHKs are located in all countries of particular interest for the German industry and commerce. In Germany, the AHKs are closely connected with the network of the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs). Together, the IHKs and AHKs support German companies to establish and to expand their economic relations with foreign countries. The Umbrella organization of the IHKs is the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), which also coordinates AHK networks. AHKs have a very close and strong cooperation with German trade associations which further strengthens the good and wide network that AHKs have. AHKs are proportionally funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology based on the decision taken by the German Federal Parliament.
The AHK Azerbaijan was officially opened in Baku, on 12th November 2012, by the Minister of State Pieper (Foreign Affairs), the Vice Minister Safarov (Ministry of Economic Development), Dr. Brown (BMWi) and Dr. Treier (DIHK).
