Ganja City Nizami District Court

Ganja City Nizami District Court hears cases related to civil, criminal, administrative offenses and other cases within the territory of Ganja city Nizami district as a court of first instance.Nizami district of Ganja city was founded in 1980. It has a population of 148.366 (24 June 2011). There are 7.942 IDPs and 9.139 refugees settled in Nizami district of Ganja city as a result of the aggressive policy of Armenian occupiers. The administrative territorial units that it shares borders with is Göygöl, Dashkesen and Ganja city’s Kapaz district.

Establishment of the Court

Present Ganja city’s Nizami district court is a successor of Ganja mobile soviet court of laborer, village and red army deputies of the Executive Committee founded during the soviet union in 1928-1929. The court was named in 1930 Ganja city province council court of laborer, village and red army deputies of the Executive Committee.The name was changed to Ganja city council court of laborer, village and red army deputies of the Executive Committee between 1931-1938, and Kirovabad City Nizami District People’s Court of the Ministry of Justice between 1939-1956.1957-1980 Kirovabad City People’s Court.1980-1989 Kirovabad City Nizami District People’s Court.1989 Ganja City Nizami District People’s Court.Since 2000 Ganja City Nizami District Court.
