Complex Drilling Works Trust

The Integrated Drilling Trust was established in accordance with the Decree No. 539 of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic of March 7, 2007 "Amending Decree No. 844 of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic of January 24, 2003 "Concerning Improvements in the Structure of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic" and SOCAR Order No. 51 of March 12, 2007.The Trust was established on the basis of the "Bayil Limany" Offshore Exploratory Drilling Department which is part of the "Azneft" Production Union, the "Neft Dashlary" Offshore Exploratory Drilling Department, the Absheron Drilling Department, the Gobustan Exploratory Drilling Department, the "Gum Adasy" Offshore Drilling Department, the Plugging and Abandonment Department, and the Specialized Machinery Department.

Activities of the Integrated Drilling Trust

The Integrated Drilling Trust includes five drilling departments ("Bayil Limany" Offshore Exploratory Drilling Department, the "Sahil" Drilling Department, the Offshore "Neft Dashlary" Offshore Drilling Department, the "Absheron" Drilling Department, and the "Gobustan" Exploratory Drilling Department), the "Drilling Services and Logistics" Department, The Cementing Department, the Logistics Department, and the Specialized Machinery Department.

Exploration and production drilling

The Integrated Drilling Trust does exploration and production drilling at SOCAR's approximately 25 onshore and offshore fields. It applies new equipment and technologies in accordance with international standards, prevents environmental damage, provides completely safe working conditions that protect its employee's health, faithfully complies with industrial and administrative regulations, and fills customer orders on time and proficiently without financial violations. The trust is drilling in the Guba-Khazar, Yevlakh-Agjabedi, Ashagy Kuryany, and Absheron oil and gas zones and at the Baku and Absheron Archipelagos offshore.

Based on information provided by customers, the Integrated Drilling Trust closely works with other SOCAR departments that have great potentials (The Oil and Gas Research and Design Institute, Department of Information Technologies and Telecommunications, Department of Geophysics and Geology, etc.) for the purposes of exploration and production drilling and in order to discover new fields to maintain steady oil and gas production in the country.The "Drilling Services and Logistics" newly established within the Integrated Drilling Trust provides a full range of services, performs maintenance, rigbuilding, and directional drilling and, along with other drilling organizations in Azerbaijan, is preparing to enter the drilling services sectors of foreign countries in the future.
