Caspian Geophysical JV

Caspian Geophysical JV LLC, a Joint Venture between State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and WesternGeco, has been providing a full range of marine acquisition services including 2D, 3D, and 4D since 1994. The company owns and operates the M/V Gilavar seismic vessel which is equipped with 6 towed-streamers and acquisition technology supplied by WesternGeco. The Gilavar is now working in the Caspian.The company operates a Seismic Data Processing Center in the Caspian Geophysical offices in Baku. The center is equipped with the latest INTEL® based PC clusters, running the Omega-2® Seismic Processing System.Caspian Geophysical has an exclusive agreement with SOCAR to acquire, process and license Multiclient 2D and 3D seismic data from offshore Azerbaijan. The Multiclient portfolio currently contains 49,000 km of 2D seismic data covering all Azerbaijan waters.
