The Azerbaijan Bank Training Center (ABTC) being today the leading institution in commercial banking and business management training and consultancy market of Azerbaijan, have been established in February 2000 with initiative and support of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, ownership and close help of the Azerbaijan Banks Association and Technical Assistance of EU TACIS Program.

Activities of The Azerbaijan Bank Training Center

Started only with trainings on commercial banking within first years of activity, now ABTC with its pool of above 70 specially trained, qualified practicing experts in line with banking provides also a wide range of training services on insurance and leasing, soft skills and management topics.In average figures every year ABTC delivers 120 to 150 training courses attended by 1500 to 1800 trainees.Offering initially short-term training courses for improvement of professional skills, today ABTC also delivers training for international and national qualification programs.

With above 20 thousand alumni ABTC spreads its network over Azerbaijan and abroad, including top positioned business managers, government and public officials.ABTC always supports institutional development of its business partners and provides them consultancy services in all aspects of management.As the result of ABTC consultancy services dozens of banks and companies could attract national and international investors, increase profitability and strength market position.

Since 2001 ABTC carries out assessment of professional knowledge & skills and today offers to its partners “on-line” services on professional testing & personal profiling, whereas above 10 thousand candidates have been assessed.ABTC closely cooperates with World Bank, International Finance Corporation, European Union, European Bank for Reconstruction & Development, Islamic Development Bank, German Bank for Reconstruction & Development, German Technical Assistance Agency, Japan International Cooperation Agency, United States Agency for International Development and other international institutions, and has been involved to more than 30 projects funded by those institutions.
